Season Report 2012

What an amazing season for Team GOFG. It started with the Vienna City Marathon, finished by Florian Hafner in an outstanding first attempt time of 03:33:24. As it was decided to form the season highlight during the 24h race in Hitzendorf, the whole Team participated in several events like the Leithaberg and Zwettler cycle marathon as a preparation.

As every year, Florian Hafner participated in the Weinviertler Laufcup (running cup) and he was able to win his class (once again).

The athletes Kornelia Hafner, Andreas Hafner, Wilhelm Hafner and Wolfgang Koller started as a mixed team during the 24h race in Hitzendorf. Once again Hitzendorf has proven to be a tough race. However by starting fast the team was able to lead the race from the beginning. The other teams weren't able to compensate the fast start and therefore Team GOFG won the competition (685,3 km).

The fall finished with the Marchfelder half marathon competed by Kornelia Hafner, Andreas Hafner, Wilhelm Hafner and Wolfgang Koller. Once again the team was able to win its class in an amazing time of 01:44:43.

One of the last events for this year was the Frankfurt Marathon. Our running talent Florian Hafner finished in 03:49:34. Motivated by his first experience in a foreign marathon he decided to also particiapte at the indoor marathon in Vienna. You will soon be able to read more about this at his blog.

The planning for the next season already started – so check back soon to find out more.
